The Perttu Häkkinen Foundation was founded in memory of the late journalist, writer, musician and cultural influencer. The purpose of the foundation is to support voluntary art and research by distributing, among other things, scholarships and prizes in the spirit of Häkkinen.
We designed a brand that takes inspiration from Häkkinen’s anecdotal cosmic horror. Häkkinen describes the scary idea of eternal consciousness and whether Christianity could even be right. “Mieti jos tämä ei ikinä lopu.”
Modern design language and loose elements add depth to the brand. Despite its dark shades, the color scheme is fresh, topical and durable. After cosmic horror, we can say that the atheistic view of death - or the extinction of consciousness - is just a good idea. The mind calms down.
